WHTR Hay Hut Fundraiser

In 2018, the horses of Windhaven Therapeutic Riding were the grateful recipients of nearly 26 tons of hay. However, in the Pacific Northwest, up to 57% of this hay fed on the ground outside is actually wasted by being ground into the mud according to a University of Minnesota study. Hay Hut Feeders have been shown, in this same research to increase the amount of hay that actually is eaten by the horses, reduces waste, saves money, reduces insect breeding areas, reduces mud and reduce the labor needed to clean up the feeding areas. You can read more about this herehttps://stablemanagement.com/articles/selecting-bale-feeder-horses-29950

To maximize the benefits of the hay so generously donated to WHTR, we are seeking to obtain funding to purchase Hay Hut Feeders for each pasture.  Please help by donating to the Hay Hut Fundraiser here or on our Website.
